Join our dynamic team at a newly established manufacturing plant where you will play a pivotal role in assembling large AC units. As an Assembler, you will work on the 1st shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with opportunities for voluntary overtime. Our facility is a modern, clean environment, dedicated to producing high-quality HVAC units for commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive assembly work across seven different stations.
• Participate in the assembly of large AC units in a manufacturing environment.
• Use hand tools and power tools for daily tasks.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in safety training during the first week.
• Perform brazing, soldering, machine operations, and quality checks once fully trained.
• Report any malfunctions or defects to the production supervisor.
• Learn to read and understand blueprints.
• Assist in quality testing before units are dispatched.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Physically capable of bending, twisting, and lifting up to 40 lbs repetitively (up to 44 times per shift).
• Ability to work in large units (not confined spaces according to OSHA standards).
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1 year of assembly experience is preferred.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Electrical experience is advantageous.
• Mechanically inclined with a strong mechanical aptitude.

The facility is still in development, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the setup of testing stations and other process improvements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kentwood, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
