The Purchaser is responsible for executing procurement processes, standards, and operational plans. This includes handling RFPs, preparing negotiations, and conducting cost analyses. The role requires responding to client inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Purchaser will manage activities related to purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure favorable terms for the organization. Key tasks involve preparing purchase orders, approving payments, negotiating prices, compiling price proposals, and monitoring contract performance for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring smooth procurement operations.

• Negotiate prices and approve payments under general guidance.

• Compile and analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other relevant data.

• Prepare requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages for new accounts.

• Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

• Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve issues like shortages and late deliveries.

• Work autonomously with limited supervision, addressing complex and difficult problems.

• Influence others within the work area by explaining facts, policies, and practices.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree required with at least 7+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain.

• Proven experience in Purchasing and Procurement.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, search functions, XLookUps, sorting, and filtering.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person ( Green Card holder).

• Motivation, common sense, and a good work ethic are essential.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems is preferred but not mandatory.

• Background in managing projects and part purchasing.

• Some program management background is beneficial.

• Willing to consider candidates with 10+ years of experience without a bachelor's degree.

Work Environment

The position requires working core hours from 9 am to 3 pm with flexibility for an 8-hour workday. Tier meetings with the Philippines may start at 8 am or occur in the afternoon at 3 pm, though daily involvement is not mandatory. The role does not require overtime unless approved by management. The Purchaser will engage with a variety of commodities, including machined/sheet metal parts, vacuum-formed parts, hardware, and electrical components. The work environment supports autonomy and limited supervision, allowing for productive contributions and complex problem-solving.

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
