Hours Per Week: 40
Schedule: Monday - Friday; Days, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
SUMMARY:
Join our dedicated team as an Addiction Therapy Associate, where you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This position involves patient screening, orientation, case management, and responding to crises. As an integral member of our team, you will also engage in intake processes, facilitate group sessions, provide educational support, and coordinate care to enhance patient outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct screenings of clients seeking admission to substance use disorder programs.
- Perform intake and orientation for new clients.
- Manage cases, make referrals, coordinate care, and connect clients to community resources.
- Provide essential crisis responses and support clients before and after admission.
- Facilitate group sessions under required supervision according to OASAS Scope of Practice.
- Educate clients regarding psychiatric and addiction-related topics.
- Maintain accurate reporting and record-keeping for various programs and stakeholders.
- Make collateral calls and secure necessary consents.
- Engage clients using telephonic, video, and in-person methods during intake and pre-admission phases.
- Prepare and ensure collection of toxicology screens (observer role).
- Actively participate as a key member of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver patient care.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to obtain CASAC-T certification within 12 months.
- Completion of a clinical internship in chemical dependency or a minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CASAC-P certification is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role primarily involves sedentary work, requiring exertion of up to 10 pounds occasionally, mostly involving sitting, with occasional walking or standing.
COMPENSATION:
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $27.25. This range reflects the potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant and may be adjusted based on factors like experience and qualifications.
