As an Actuarial Consultant of Actuarial Services at UnitedHealth Group, you can do just that. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set monthly Reserves for a variety of Medicare products (Medical, Dental, Part-D Rx, Vision)
• Assist and support Appointed Actuaries in preparation of Actuarial Opinion Memorandums
• Research claim trends
• Plan and execute on process improvements
• Mentor and train actuarial students

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation or higher
• 3+ years of Actuarial experience
• Advanced or higher level of proficiency with Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Career ASA, near FSA or FSA
• Experience with actuarial reserving
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Advantage
• Proven Basic or higher level of proficiency with SQL, SAS, VBA and / or R

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
