Accounting Associate -$68,000 -$73,000 Annually

*This is a Permanent/Direct Hire position with our client.

As an Accounting Associate, you will prepare general ledger entries in accordance with internal policy and guidelines and perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. You will generate monthly financial reports and provide support for regulatory filings. In addition, you’ll investigate and report any financial irregularities for account reconciliation, as well as provide support for employee benefits and payroll.

Well qualified candidates will bring:

• Associate degree in Accounting or related study (will consider experience in lieu of degree)

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role; nonprofit experience preferred

• Strong experience with general ledger journal entries and financial statement experience

• Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and credit card experience

• Experience with benefits administration

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently while providing support to a great existing team

• Applicable experience in widely used computer programs, such as Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Peachtree, Blackbaud, Foundant, and NextGen

• Experience providing hardware, software and systems support would be a plus

This position comes with:

• A salary of $68,000-$73,000 with potential for annual COLA and/or Merit increases
